Value Stream Manager

Dura Automotive Systems, a leader in glass systems,and exterior trim systems for the global automotive and mass transit industries is searching for a Value Stream Managerfor the Lawrenceburg, TN facility. Description Position Description: In this role you will be have clear responsibility for the success of a value stream within the Production Operations facility. As the VSM, you will focus the organization on the consistent, successful on-time delivery of product by coordinating activities with Engineering, Quality and Maintenance while leading a winning team that continuously strives for improvements driving customer satisfaction and improving costs.   Essential Functions include, but are not limited to, the following: This position manages, directs, and coordinates of cross functional manufacturing process towards the achievement of plant and business unit goals Maintain a manufacturing process flow to ensure products are assembled in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible while meeting all engineering and quality standards.  Continuously analyzes and evaluates manufacturing processes/programs to develop and implement process improvements dealing with safety, quality and productivity using Lean philosophy Provides guidance and direction in the development and maintenance of Standard Operation Procedures and work instructions. Coordinates and communicates with plant scheduling function to ensure capacity utilization and understand equipment/tooling shortcomings in order to meet customer demands. Promote and build a team atmosphere among plant employees and departments. Provides direction, coordination, and influence in the training of Supervisors, Team Leads, etc., to develop essential leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.  Also serves as a mentor and guide. Participates in annual budget, capital and strategic planning, providing information on manufacturing related requirements and capabilities. Adequate resource planning. Communicates with suppliers and customers as needed and lead and coach investigation activities into customer complaints and implement countermeasures. Maintains overall responsibility for ensuring a safe, clean work environment.  Works with appropriate support departments to maintain and improve the safety and material condition of the facility.   Requirements: BS Degree; Automotive and/or Mass Transit experience a plus.   TS-16949 and ISO 14000 experience also a plus. 5 years of related experience. Additional education may be substituted for experience and vice versa.  Considerable knowledge of management practices and policy interpretation to independently evaluate, select, and apply techniques and standards. 3 to 5 years' experience in Lean, Six Sigma manufacturing environment preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function independently and as a part of a team.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
