Plant EHS&E Specialist

DURA Automotive Systems, a Lynn Tilton company, is a global automotive supplier specializing in the design, engineering and manufacturing of innovative solutions that propel the vehicle development initiatives of automakers is seeking a Plant Environmental, Health, Safety & Energy Specialist for the Lawrenceburg, Tennessee location. The Plant Environment, Health, Safety & Energy (EHS&E) Specialist position is responsible for implementing and administering standardized EHS&E processes to ensure environmental, safety and health compliance to federal, state, provincial, and local regulations as well as corporate policies and procedures. The EHS&E Specialist is expected to contribute to the achievement of world class status and corporate savings by eliminating occupational injuries/illnesses, property damage and environmental impacts. This position will specifically focus on improving and safeguarding the health and safety of all employees, ensuring compliance, supporting Achieving Operational Excellence (AOE) environmental and safety activities and Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), Energy Management System (ISO 50001) as well as ISO 45001 Safety Management System requirements. Essential Functions: Oversee/implement EHS&E training programs and training assessments to ensure required training is identified and conducted Conduct regular audits of EHS&E processes and necessary follow up to ensure compliance and advise plant leadership and corporate EHS&E staff of findings Analyze environmental incidents, determine root causes, implement corrective action and communicate this information to plant leadership and corporate EHS&E Analyze injury/illness experience, identify/track injury correlation, determine root causes, determine corrective action and communicate this information to plant leadership and company EHS&E Manage new equipment programs at the concept stage to ensure that EHS&E design specifications and regulations are included Ensure ergonomic processes are implemented/integrated in an appropriate manner Manage routine reports, permit applications, inventories and surveys; including data acquisition, documentation, record keeping, monitoring, review, and approval Coordinate communication of EHS&E regulatory inspection activity with plant leadership Lead EHS&E projects to improve EHS&E key performance metrics Lead the implementation and maintenance of the plant's environmental management system to meet ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and AOE requirements Lead the implementation and maintenance of the plant's safety management system to meet ISO 45001 and AOE requirements  JOB REQUIREMENTS: Strong understanding of federal, state, provincial and local regulations and requirements Willingness to work on any shift and additional hours as required Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and/or other software STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, Science or related field 5 years of safety, environmental, engineering or related experience in a manufacturing environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, Science or related field Environmental and or safety related professional certifications (e.g. CSP, CIH, PE, CHMM) Automotive or manufacturing experience PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Superior communication skills and can present his/her ideas in a clear, concise manner Unquestioned integrity and values that the organization can trust without reservation Consensus builder with strong persuasion skills A highly motivated team player who contributes to an atmosphere in which people collaboratively, enthusiastically and effectively produce results A good listener with a strong sense of self Must be flexible with the ability to change, adapt and grow Exhibits passion for the mission of the company and the needs of our clients Strong team player

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
